Affordable Skid Steers was established in 2004, importing various branded, used skid steer loaders. In 2006, we purchased our first Caterpillar skid steer loader and after selling most of commonly branded skid steer loaders in our early years, we settled with the quality that is Caterpillar. In the same year we became a Digga dealer, which gave us quality attachments to accompany our quality machines. In the years following, we have grown to become a major player in the used earthmoving machinery market. Recently, we have established ourselves in Perth, Sydney and most recently Melbourne.

In March 2010, Affordable Skid Steers will partner Digga's sister company, Kanga Loaders and become the used dealer on Kanga loaders for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Over the past 3 years we have had a very successful relationship with the Digga product and the Digga staff and I can only see a similar result with the Digga Kanga product. Until now Affordable Skid Steers has not entered into the smaller machinery market, despite customer requests. We feel the addition of the Kanga loaders will complete our company, offering customers the ability to purchase a compact skid steer loader, something having the Caterpillar range of skid steers and multi terrain loaders couldn't provide. We would certainly have something for everyone.

Our Team

Shane Hutchins:  Company Founder & Managing Director of Affordable Skid Steers and P & S Traders, established in 1995, as an import and export business of forklifts, recycled plastics and new ride on mowers.

Ken Yim:  Company Director of Affordable Skid Steers since 2008 and of P & S Traders since 2005

Andy Schwalb:  Manager of Affordable Skid Steers since 2009, previously employed by P & S Traders since 2000. Andy’s leadership qualities in staff, sales and general management made it any easy decision for us to bring him to manage our earthmoving machinery business.

Rachel Parry:  Sales Assistant. We're very excited to have Rachel join our company (June 2010). Rachel had been employed by Digga Australia over the previous 3 years. Rachel will be developed as a vital member of our sales team, heading our Red Roo products, Digga attachments, our entire range of outdoor mower products & then into our Kanga & Caterpillar machinery sales.
